Privacy

Plain English: what we collect, who processes it, and how to get rid of it. We never sell your data. We barely keep it.

What we collect

  • Your email — to send magic-link sign-ins. No passwords.
  • What you write — guides you create, the original paste they were shaped from, your profile (username, display name, bio, avatar, city).
  • Reactions — which guides you starred or bookmarked, so we can show them back to you.
  • Product analytics — page-view and event data via PostHog.
  • Error reports — when something crashes, the stack trace via Sentry.

What we don’t collect

  • Passwords. We don’t have any.
  • Voice recordings. The mic on /create runs in your browser via the Web Speech API — we only ever see the text.
  • Anything we don’t need.

Who processes it

We hand data to a small set of services so the product works:

  • Supabase — database, auth, and storage for rendered guide maps.
  • Vercel — web hosting.
  • Anthropic — the shape-day model (claude-sonnet-4-6) receives your paste when you click Shape.
  • Mapbox — static map images for guides.
  • Google Places — names, photos, addresses, and coordinates for the stops you pick.
  • Unsplash — headline images you pick.
  • PostHog — product analytics.
  • Sentry — error reporting.

What we share

Nothing, for marketing. We never sell or rent your data. If law forces us to hand something over, we’ll push back where we can and tell you when we’re allowed to.

How your guides are visible

Every guide has a visibility setting you control:

  • Draft — only you.
  • Public — discoverable on /explore and your profile.
  • Unlisted — link-reachable, hidden from discovery.
  • Private — only you.

The original paste behind a guide is never shown to anyone but you.

Deleting your stuff

  • A guide — open it and hit Delete. Goes immediately.
  • Your account — Settings → Danger Zone. We tombstone your rows and purge your auth identity. If you want a copy of your data first, email us.

Cookies

A session cookie from Supabase to keep you signed in. An analytics cookie from PostHog. That’s it.

Changes

If we change anything material, we bump the date below. If it’s significant, we’ll send you a note.
