Terms of Service
The deal between you and us. Short and direct.
Using Ideal Day
You can use Ideal Day to write, publish, share, and read travel guides. You need to be old enough to consent on your own where you live (13 in most places, older in some). Don’t impersonate anyone else.
Your account
You sign in with email — we send a magic link, you click it. Keep your email secure; anyone with access to it can sign in as you. You can delete your account any time from Settings → Danger Zone.
Your content
You own what you write. The guides, the paste they came from, your profile — yours.
To run the product, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, format, and share your guides exactly as you’ve configured their visibility (draft, public, unlisted, or private). The license ends when you delete the content or your account.
You’re responsible for the rights to anything you paste — quotes, descriptions, images. When a stop or headline image came from Google Places or Unsplash, attribution is required by their terms, and we display it for you.
Be reasonable
Don’t post:
- Anything illegal where you live or where we operate.
- Other people’s private information.
- Hate, harassment, or anything sexualizing minors.
- Spam, scraped content, or AI-generated guides you didn’t actually write or curate.
If you do, we may remove the content or close the account. We try to be proportionate — a small mistake gets a note; bad-faith abuse doesn’t.
The AI part
Ideal Day uses an LLM (Anthropic’s claude-sonnet-4-6) to shape your paste into a structured day. The model can make mistakes — wrong addresses, hallucinated place names, dead links. You’re the editor. Check before you publish.
Service is “as is”
We’re a small team. Things break. We don’t guarantee uptime, data preservation against catastrophic loss, or that the product will exist forever. We keep backups, and if we ever wind down we’ll give you fair notice and a way to export your guides.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using Ideal Day. Direct damages are capped at what you’ve paid us — which today is zero.
Changes
We update these terms when something changes. The “Last updated” date below is canonical. Material changes get a heads-up email.
